A public tender for private-sector initiative on the system of transportation of natural gas

Energía Argentina S.A. invites national and international companies to participate in the public, national, and international tender for the execution of the first private initiative project concerning the national natural gas transportation system.

It consists of the expansion of the transportation capacity of the Perito Moreno Gas Pipeline (GPM). It currently transports up to 26 million cubic meters of gas per day from Vaca Muerta (Neuquén) to Buenos Aires.

The projected works consist of incorporating new additional compressor plants in some points of the gas pipeline route and adapting the current facilities. This will allow adding 14 million cubic meters per day and that the Perito Moreno gas pipeline reaches its maximum operating capacity of transporting up to 40 million cubic meters per day.

Energía Argentina will formalize with the successful bidder -who will be in charge of the Operation and Maintenance of the GPM- a transport capacity reserve contract of 14 million cubic meters for a term of 15 years. At the end of this period, the new facilities will revert to the National Government.

This initiative, declared of public interest by the National Government, will make it possible to accelerate the valorization of assets in Vaca Muerta, generate tax savings and benefits for the national trade balance
