Those wishing to bring firearms and ammunition into the Argentine Republic must apply for a "temporary/permanent authorization for the introduction of weapons and ammunition."

Information to keep in mind:

- The procedure can be carried out in person at the Consulate or remotely. 

- To schedule your appointment or arrange for the certificate to be issued remotely, please write to the following email address: dnihouston@mrecic.gov.ar

On the day of your appointment, you must present the following documentation:

1. The completed and printed form (see attachments below).
2. DNI or foreign passport.
3. Proof of ownership of the weapon, form (duly completed and processed by US Customs) Customs Form 4457 "Certificate of Registration for Personal Effects Taken Abroad".
4. Hunting permit (original and valid).
5. Airline ticket indicating arrival and departure dates from Argentina.
6. Reservation issued by the place where hunting or sport shooting activities will take place, which must be authorized by the National Agency for Controlled Materials (ANMaC).
7. Payment: the cost will depend on whether you request it by mail ($60) or in person ($80). You can pay with credit or debit card.
