The Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Houston, through its Commercial Section, hereby shares an investment opportunity in the renewable energy sector within the Province of La Pampa.

The Province has a Strategic Energy Plan, formalized under Provincial Law No. 3285 (“Energy Development Regime”), which establishes the guidelines for its energy policy. This framework aims to advance toward energy sovereignty by promoting a model in which La Pampa generates the energy required to meet its own demand, with a special emphasis on the development of renewable sources.

In this context, Pampetrol S.A.P.E.M., the provincial energy company, leads the execution of the energy policy. A notable milestone is the development of the Victorica Solar Photovoltaic Plant (7.2 MW), which is currently in operation and supplying energy to the Provincial Electric System.

Building on this experience, the Province promotes a public-private investment scheme aimed at expanding generation capacity. Within this framework, Public Tender No. 1/25 – “15 MW General Pico Solar PV Plant” was carried out, corresponding to the first stage of the project at the General Pico Energy Supply and Productive Development Hub.

In line with the results achieved, a second stage of the project is expected to be launched through a new call for tenders. This initiative involves the development of renewable energy generation infrastructure on a site of over 100 hectares, exclusively designated for this purpose, with the goal of providing competitive energy to local industries and boosting productive development in the northern region of the province.

The current regulatory framework, including Law No. 3285 and SEN Resolution No. 400/25, establishes clear and predictable rules for the local energy market, enabling the execution of renewable energy supply contracts and creating favorable conditions for investment.
